Grampians: gateway to UFOs
The Grampians - Victoria - Australia - Recent photos revealing mysterious lights visible around the Grampians mountain ranges, extending 100 to 160km north of Warrnambool, have been released to The Standard.
Known as a `hot spot' for UFO activity over the past two years, the area is attracting `paranormal' enthusiasts from around the country.
Victorian woman Jacqueline Purtell spent two days in January observing activity over the Grampians ranges and reported seeing multiple moving and stationary objects of varying colours.
She estimated the closest of the spherical shapes to be 1.5km away.
Victorian UFO Research Society public relations officer Paul Norman has been investigating UFOs since 1954.
He said UFOs had been spotted almost nightly since two flew over the car of a man travelling from Horsham to Halls Gap in June 2001.
"There's a big one called `the commander' and it operates in concert with smaller ones," Mr Norman said.
Mr Norman said the lights were invariably in a straight-line format and often flashed on and off simultaneously before disappearing from sight.

Unidentified Object Seen Floating Outside International Space Station
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - June 13, 2003 - NASA is trying to identify a small object spotted floating outside the International Space Station Thursday, according to a report.
Astronaut Ed Lu spotted the object outside the window of the U.S. laboratory and took pictures of it, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.
Ground controllers are analyzing Lu's photos but don't yet have enough information about the object's direction of travel to determine where it came from.
The object, which has moved out of sight, is likely from the station itself, according to the report.
NASA is reportedly asking U.S. Strategic Command to use its resources to gather more information about the object. Strategic Command was able to track a small object seen floating near Columbia shortly after the shuttle entered orbit on its last mission.
Ground controllers plan to transmit pictures of labels to Lu in hopes he can compare them with the object he saw and possibly identify it. Labels can be roughly the dimensions Lu described.

Puerto Rico and Russia Alien Corpses
According to a report published by the Georgian UFO Association GUFORA (from the Caucasian Republic of Georgia) an alien body was retrieved by the Russian State Security Service in 1996. An old woman from the village of Kashtim in the Ural mountains, so the report claims, found a dying little creature on the road. She thought it was a baby and took it home, nursed and fed it. Click to enlarge. After two weeks, the woman got sick and was hospitalized. The creature stayed home alone... and died. Probably because the woman told someone in the hospital the Kashtim Police Department entered the woman's home and found the dead body on August 13, 1996. The corpse was filmed with a VHS camera -standard equipment of the Russian police these days- when a preliminary investigation (including the use of a Geiger Counter) was undertaken. According to the measurements of the Police, the being was only 21 centimeters (8 1/2 inches) in length. The corpse was later confiscated by the State Security (Ex-KGB).
There are some similarities between the corpse retrieved in Russia and an earlier incident which took part on the island of Puerto Rico in 1979 or 1980. The case was original reported by Puerto Rico's top UFO expert Jorge Martin and published by Michael Hesemann in Magazin 2000 No. 109, February 1996.
According to what Martin learned after two years of investigation, the being was killed by a youth, Jose Luis Chino Zayas, in a cave near the mysterious "Tetas de Cayey" (twin mountain peaks). During a nocturnal camping trip, Zayas and a friend encountered several small creatures coming out of a cave. When one of them grabbed Chino by his leg, he got frightened, picked up a stick, hit - and killed it. The other beings just ran away in this moment. Chino took the body home and preserved it in Formaldehyde to preserve it. A few days later he reported himself to the local Police Station in Las Ochentas near Salinas. Police Officer Osvaldo Santiago came by, saw the being, and when Chino, afraid that the beings could come back, asked him to take it, he took it home. The policemen's wife told a friend, the businessman "Rafael Baerga" (pseudonym) about it who came to see it and shot several photos including the ones shown here.
He also consulted Prof. Calixto Peres, a chemist of the University of Puerto Rico, who stated: "In my opinion it is something extraterrestrial. Its cranium is far too big for the body, which is small and skinny, and its eyes were too big."

Windmill Hill Crop Circle
Windmill Hill - Wiltshire - UK - June 11 2003 - ...there was a cool wind. But once inside the circle, the wind was warmer. It also appeared non-directional. Always blowing from my right to left, regardless of where I was standing and in which direction I was facing. Everything seemed so at ease within the circle and for the 30 minutes or so I was there, I was at total ease with myself.
The roots of the crop were also interwoven amongst themselves in a very mechanical way. I also noticed that when I stood with one foot inside the circle and one foot outside, I was feeling very strong resonance through my feet. We also met a family from LA at the circle, and the wife also confirmed the vibrations.
Another very weird thing occurred. My girlfriend's camcorder battery was half full when we went into the circle (45 to 60 minutes worth of battery power) but once inside, it was emptied completely in 6 minutes. There was not even enough power to switch on the LED light on it. It was as if the whole battery was disconnected. Absolutely no power.

Aliens in Arkansas?
Clay County - KNOBEL, Ark - USA - June 10, 2003 - They are the talk of Clay County, crop circles in a local field of wheat. "We just flew over it and spotted it and it kind of surprised us," said Bruce Catt, who was flying over Clay County farmland over the weekend. "We circled it a few times and thought we need to get some pictures of it."
"There's ten circles, the first one being the biggest," Catt said. "It's around thirty eight (feet), the next one's twenty eight, and around eighteen and eight, and they just kind of taper off."
Since this weekend, people are coming in droves to Todd Young's wheat field in Clay County, just to see the phenomenon.
"Yesterday at one time there was four different planes circling the field," Young said. "Continuous airplanes all day, and people on foot as well."

Alien Abductions The Real Deal?
Are alien abductions a misunderstood sleep phenomenon, or apocalyptic warnings? The answer depends on which constellation you work for at Harvard.
Psychological tests confirm that abductees are rarely psychotic or mentally ill. Some 3 million Americans believe they've encountered bright lights and incurred strange bodily marks indicative of a possible encounter with aliens, according to a recent poll.
For Richard McNally, Ph.D., Harvard University, the most telling difference between abductees and survivors of "veritable" trauma is not physiological but attitudinal. Experiencers unanimously state that they're glad they were abducted. "There's a psychological payoff," says McNally. "This makes it very different from sexual abuse." Trauma survivors of all stripes cite positive spiritual growth, but, "no Vietnam vet says, 'Gee, I'm glad I was a POW.'"
John Mack, M.D., Harvard University, is currently at work on his third book, which examines the clash between "scientific materialism and a nonrational point of view." He increasingly distances himself from the question of whether or not aliens exist in the physical world, focusing more on a "consensus reality" that precludes us from even entertaining such a possibility. "We void the cosmos of other intelligence unless it can be proven," states Mack. On the work of McNally and Clancy in the psychology department, a stone's throw away, Mack says, "We're in different firmaments."

Top Secret Army UFO Document On 1942 'Battle Of LA'
In march 5, 1942, George C. Marshall writes a top-secret memo to the President, which states: "regarding the air raid over Los Angeles it was learned by Army G2 that Rear Admiral Anderson... recovered an unidentified airplane off the coast of California... with no bearing on conventional explanation... This Headquarters has come to the determination that the mystery airplanes are in fact not earthly and according to secret intelligence sources they are in all probability of interplanetary origin." Marshall goes on to state: "As a consequence I have issued orders to Army G2 that a special intelligence unit be created to further investigate the phenomenon and report any significant connection between recent incidents and those collected by the director the office of Coordinator of Information." The memo bears correct Office of Chief of Staff (OCS) file numbers and has "Interplanetary Phenomenon Unit" (IPU) typed on it at a later time by a different typewriter. It is logical to believe that this is the order that sets up the IPU.

UFO Falls in Jizan Region
JEDDAH, 9 June 2003 - An unidentified flying object fell to earth in the southern Jizan region last Monday. Witnesses told Al-Watan daily that the object looked like a flying saucer and radiated light. A number of people in Arraith town, about 220 km northeast of Jizan, watched the strange object fall at about 9 a.m. on Monday.
The fall of the object sent shockwaves through the area and frightened cattle. People ran away from the object and observed it from a distance.
Abdul Rahman Al-Osaimi, governor of Arraith, told the Arabic daily that he visited the area where the object had fallen, adding that it had frightened the residents.
“The object is not big, but it scares people,” the governor said.
Informed sources told Al-Watan that security officers visited the site to inspect the object and interview witnesses.
