UFO top UK spots
A small Scottish town was today named UFO capital of the UK in a survey.
Bonnybridge in Stirlingshire topped a league of 40 “alien encounter” sites in the research.
Cley Hill in Wiltshire was the second most visted area of Britain. Third came the Great Orme, the North Wales beauty spot.
Two areas of London – Walthamstow and Lewisham – made the top 10.
Bedhampton in Hampshire also made it on to the list because of several “sightings” filmed by a local man which have never been explained.
The survey by Grolsch beer found that as well as UFO-spotters, firefighters and police had reported seeing strange objects in the sky.
There have been more than 60,000 sightings of flying saucers in the town (population 5,500), which has been dubbed ‘Costa Del Sol’ for little green men.
